Global Sustainable Tourism Council

The GSTC were set up many years ago to establish and manage the global standards for sustainable travel and tourism. These are the guiding principles and minimum requirements that any tourism business or destination should aspire to reach in order to protect and sustain the world’s natural and cultural resources, while ensuring tourism meets its potential as a tool for conservation and poverty alleviation.

Lucy Agace attended the GSTC 2019 Global Conference in the Azores and professionally trained in Sustainable Tourism during the event.

Go Green Sustainability has based their compliance standards on the key criteria as set out by both the GSTC and the UNSDGs. These standards are reassessed on a yearly basis and provide a balance between economic growth, protection of the environment, customer experience and the social wellbeing of employees, all stakeholders and local communities. Our own certifications send a clear message to your clients that you are committed to being part of the solution. Committing to a certification with us, takes all the guess work out of your sustainability journey.
