Our certifications compliance standards are based on and aligned to recognised global industry benchmarks from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs), the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) and ISO standards.

Certification Process

Step 1

A phone discussion to assess your business, outline the standard criteria and suggest the right certification package for you.

Step 2

Auditor will assess which (if any) standards are not applicable to your business and remove prior to sending the list of standards.

Step 3

Sign the contract and pay the 30% deposit and select payment options. We email you the list of criteria standards and set up a Dropbox link.

Step 4

There is 6-12 months (larger businesses 12 months) to complete the process, during which time your assigned manager is just a phone call away.

Step 5

Once we have agreed your evidence will comply with the minimum number of standards the audit is booked, paid for and completed. Certification documents arrive within a week.

Certification Details

There are over 100 compliance standards, including 38 mandatory ones. Non-Applicable standards are removed after the initial phone discussion and in some cases. To gain certification a 50% minimum pass rate is required. The aim is to improve each year, complying with more standards. We review the standards each year to keep in line with global sustainability benchmark changes.

These prices are based on hotel room numbers and staff numbers for businesses.

    Small 1- 15 staff or rooms
    Medium 16 - 40 staff or rooms
    Large 41 - 100 staff or rooms
    Businesses/Hotels  over 100 staff or rooms

These prices are reduced by 40% for the annual renewal years continuing support and audit to ensure compliance is maintained. (see further information below)

Prices are based on businesses located in the South East of England and South London region; anything further afield would need a free assessment to provide a quotation.
